Essential Equipment For Working Out At Home

Posted on

A home has space for just about everything that might be important to you, so if you’re serious about fitness, you should invest in a home gym. You’ll have the added luxury of working out whenever you want, to the kind of music you want, and, most importantly, never have to share a piece of equipment with sweaty strangers again.

Apart from motivation and self-discipline, you’re going to need to invest in good equipment. Here’s a list of the home gym equipment:

TRX ALL-IN-ONE Suspension Training System
The TRX bands use high-quality nylon and can handle a massive 100KGs of maximum weight. They’re also extremely flexible and adaptive, allowing you to improve core strength, and build endurance and flexibility while toning up muscles and burning away fat.

Jump Rope
Jump ropes are much more than a playful game for children. They’re an extremely effective piece of equipment for increasing stamina and building endurance, proven to work on the upper and lower body.

Dumbbells
There’s a reason Hex dumbbells are as popular as they are; they work. They allow you to increase the intensity of just about every movement, in any direction, and for anybody part. They’re also compact, easy to stack and last forever.

Kettlebells
Unlike dumbbells, kettlebells have an uneven weight distribution which needs a lot of control. So, along with strength training, you’ll build a lot more control and stability if you use them regularly. These are also available in a range of weights and fairly easy to store.

Resistance bands
There are a few different types of resistance bands, but they’re all designed to add resistance to movements, forcing your muscles to work harder. They’re available in progressive levels of resistance for different fitness and intensity levels to meet individual intensity needs.

Yoga Mats
Yoga mats can be used for a lot more than just yoga; they’re designed to provide cushioning and grip. They offer excellent protection against injury from compression and improve your body’s balance and stability while exercising.

Slam Balls
There’s a lot you can use slam balls for, but even the conventional ‘ball slams’ engage your entire upper body and lower body. The immediate activation energy activates core strength immediately, which is an essential part of HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training)

Stationary Exercise Bike
Cycling has always been a popular exercise for building strength and improving stamina. Stationary exercise bikes offer a low-impact option for improving your cardiovascular system and building your entire lower body.

PVC Force Bags
Force bags are heavy-duty PVC bags designed to be filled with multiple sandbags, allowing a lot of flexibility for customizing their weight. They can be used for accentuating movements and increasing the intensity of a lot of core workouts.

EVA Foam Rollers
Recovery is important, though often neglected, part of a good workout session. Foam rollers are great for soothing sore muscles and helping your whole body remain limber.
